Staff Engagement in Australia is at an all time low
A shocking number of the Australian workforce are disinterested, feel unappreciated, can’t be bothered putting in their best, or want to quit.
They are not ‘engaged’.
An “engaged employee” is one who is fully involved in, and enthusiastic about their work, and thus will act in a way that furthers their organisation’s interests. According to a recent Gallup Consulting global study of 47,000 people;
- 82% of people were not fully engaged in their current role
- 61% did what was necessary to do the job, and
- 21% were actively disengaged,
