Job Description: We seek a skilled Powder Coater to join our dynamic team on a brand new site in Campbellfield. As a Powder Coater, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the quality and durability of our finished products. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional results.
Pay rate $33.96ph plus OT
Shift 6:30am - 3pm plus opportunity for Saturday work
** This is an ongoing casual role with the view to become a permanent role based on passing probation period **
Responsibilities:
- Operate powder coating equipment to apply coatings to various surfaces
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and applying pre-treatment chemicals
- Monitor the coating process to ensure proper coverage and adhesion
- Conduct quality inspections to identify and address any defects or imperfections
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Requirements:
- Previous experience in powder coating or a related field is preferred
- Worked with Sheetmetal advantageous
- be able to work in batch line and continuous line.
- be able to set up the machine in the morning including the washing line.
- be able to read and understand work instructions and safe work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulations
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
